Our Horses
Yoshi
(1/8/2008) 16.1h quarterhorse. Yoshi is our newest team member. Joining THRS in early 2023, Yoshi is smooth, kind and gentle. He loves people and any form of attention, and has easy to ride, comfortable paces.
Koyuna Pearl
(5/10/2011) 16.1hh warmblood/thoroughbred. Pearl is performance bred for the sport of eventing. She joined THRS in early 2022. She enjoys the attention of the riding school and is a delight to handle. Being naturally very sensitive and responsive, she does a lovely job teaching riders the finer points of dressage, connection, and contact.
Music
(5/9/05) 15.3hh thoroughbred. Before joining THRS in 2021, Music had a very successful and competitive career in the showjump arena. Smart, sensitive and agile, Music is also a beautiful horse to ride flatwork on; she teaches riders interested in fine-tuning their timing of the aids, and finesse about contact and connection. Music is part-leased by Louisa, who is enjoying developing her partnership with this talented horse.
Junior & Bertie
These 2 lovely thoroughbred geldings both joined THRS in the Spring of 2025. Both ex-racehorses, Junior (23/10/18) was born in NZ and raced in HK before retiring at the young age of 5 to Australia. Bertie (20/09/14) raced for Godolphin before retiring to a quieter life, which seems more to his liking. Both people pleasers, they want to understand their human handlers and do the right thing.
Kahlua
(30/08/04) 15.2h thoroughbred. Kahlua joined THRS in October 2020. Racing under the name To The Sea, Kahlua then found a new career as a nervous teenager’s first horse, where he showed his forte is not in racing but as a quiet and gentle teacher to riders of all levels. Kahlua is responsive, quiet, and willing.
Cayuse Kan Do
(7/11/16) 16h Dutch warmblood x appaloosa. Kadiz is a real people pleaser and a standout character with an obsessive love of water. To know him is to love him.
Roy
(9/9/2014) Hanoverian warmblood. Quirky and sensitive, Roy shows great promise as a stunning performance horse learning the ropes of showjumping and dressage with Lauren.
Pilot
(17/11/2016) Pilot joined THRS in 2022. Starting early life as a racehorse, Pilot raced 3 times and was sacked for his lack of talent before the age of 3. His trackwork rider recognised the kind and gentle loving horse that he is, and took him home, retraining him slowly and gently over 3 years for the sport of eventing. When she had the opportunity t0 move overseas and further her career, she sold Pilot to THRS. Pilot is quiet, brave, gentle and responsive. He loves being part of the gang with his horsey friends; he is wonderfully curious and loves to be a part of everything going around him.
